(rude humor)
In the 80s I ran a couple of business in Boston. One downtown and one outside of town, while living in back bay (the brownstones etc) behind the colonnade hotel on Copley Square.
I don’t know if its still true to day, but in the 80’s the sex ratio for college and post-college was something like 4 to 7 in favor of women.
And these young women would travel in herds on the way to class.
At that time I was still making short movies as a hobby.
So I made a video fade in, from the street, of a crosswalk, with a long, more-than-a-minute still of no action at all. Then in the distance you could hear cow bells. Eventually the herd of women would cross the street, then fade as they disappeared, and then faded to black.
Women aren’t individual. No matter how hard they try they are as marginally indifferent as men are marginally different. And it’s odd how nature play’s its game.
And no, I got it in something like three or four shots.

(I have been lucky to have married or had LTRs with the most amazingly and mentally healthy women – and I’m not exactly easy to practice irreciprocity upon. π )

Elated. So just loving all of you today. Thanks for sharing the journey. π
We are making amazing progress on the work. It really does take all of us working together to fill the holes and clarify where needed. And it’s working.
Martin suggests, correctly, that you (y’all) will find other holes and the necessity for clarification. That’s fine. But we are just accomplishing so much as a team that it’s inspiring.

(diary, working)
Working with the team, I’m floored almost daily at their ability to understand and apply the work – as well as help me produce it. These guys are amazing. And while they spend most of the time doing something else, and just answer questions or let me run ideas by them as I work, the investment of their time is just priceless. And I feel guilty every day that they sit through it with me.
There are only so many ‘very hard’ parts of the work. The natural law and the logic of rights and obligations require the most detail. Thankfully I won’t have to explain the grammars and the logics in the Constitution. We only have to lay out the criteria for strictly constructed legal form.
Personally, doing this work together has helped me understand that they’re just as good as I am at the reasoning, and it’s only that I can hold larger models in my head than others. That’s probably always been my advantage and I didn’t really understand it. It’s not like mathematicians who can hold strong discreet relationships in working memory. It’s more akin to very very large numbers of subtle relations.
Now I can still only work about three hours still before I get tired. I used to be able to do this for days at a time. But I’m clearly improving slowly. Hopefully I’ll continue to improve. Because if this keeps up we’ll finish it on time.

A natural rights libertarian. UK. Hayek and Popper’s critical rationalism.
When we still had hope for the future of freedom, liberty, reason, and meritocracy.
