Bangladeshi are interesting: genetically biased to a narrow pool of East Asians but they are an example of the dominance of less pedomorphic gene expression in phenotypes. There are more Bangladeshi than Russians, just like there are more Pakistanis than white Americans.

High metabolism, high response times, and intelligence that is the result of both is certainly a contributing factor. To say it’s more important than morphology, endurance running, diversion of development from digestion to brain, a larger brain, neoteny, and climate is .. hard.

That’s common knowledge in the literature. And it’s included in natural selection (adaptation). It is not clear whether we are physiologically smarter than our pre-agrarian ancestors – we are almost certainly less aggressive and persistent – but we share and use more knowledge.

So biological intelligence (adaptability in time we call learning) doesn’t change other than limited gains from health. But demonstrated intelligence (demonstrated capacity to USE accumulated adaptations) will increase until fully exploited (exhausted) – which is occurring.

The Flynn Effect isn’t describing increase in physical processing (evidence is working the other direction), but that we’re increasingly eliminating ignorance, error, bias, and deceit, and obtaining gains from increasing adherence to physical, natural, evolutionary laws.
