My cousin was a terror. He went in the navy. It worked. I think this works for ‘misaligned’ kids. I don’t think it works for mentally defective kids and biologically defective (addictive) kids. (no evidence of it.)

So the attribution of causality to kid is a common cognitive bias. That’s why no systemic solution works. Because there is no systemic solution. It’s just the kid. Does that mean we shouldn’t try to help some? No. It means parents need the ability to constrain dangerous kids.
