We still don’t know if it’s a defect or an evolutionary adaptattion. I mean, aspies-autists appear to have invented almost everything meaningful in human history. Its clearly an advantage for a group, even if not always for the individual. I view mine as a superpower.

Same cause. Anxiety can be caused by brain damage, as well as brain development for the same reason. AFAIK we understand what’s going on, but not why it’s going on. Brains grow pretty simply. Why such short connections, esp interhemispheric?
