Um. I think in big words because that’s what intellectuals who have mastered many disciplines do. I’m not special in that regard other than I’m less specialized than other intellectuals and draw on a wider body of patterns.
You may not realize it but vocabulary is one of the principle means of testing intelligence, because intelligence consists largely of how little repetition is required to cause adaptation in the neural networks in our brains.
While many concepts are reducible (made simple) many are not. No one complains that advanced mathematics, physics, economics, or law is irreducible for the common man’s consumption, for some odd and fascinating reason, the. vast majority of us presume that advanced cognitive , behavioral, and social science is reducible for the consumption of the common man without a great deal of rather challenging education.
Ergo: just because you don’t understand doesn’t mean it’s not understood by others. Understanding is a measure of the person receiving not of person informing.
