First: You deserve a much larger following here. We, meaning people who understand the value you’re providing, need to work on that. 😉
Substance:
In my work on sex differences in cognition, and more precisely sex differences in truth telling, and deception, I’ve come to understand that the sex differences in behavior are reducible to three dimensions that are producible by nothing more than neural organization, and which reflect neural organization:
1 – Time (in-time(lateral) vs over-time(longitudinal))
2 – Scale (empathizing(few) vs systematizing(many))
3 – Responsibility (consumption(now) vs capitalization(later).
Valued by:
4 – Risk-Reward given all three of the above.
There are no sex differences in behavior that are not reducible to these three causes and one valuation. Prey bias vs Predator bias (McGhilchrist has an agenda I won’t get into here. I can’t find fault with Baron Cohen.)
We are, almost universally, going to resist the third difference more than any other, because it’s the cause of our present crisis – or rather the eternal conflict in preferendes between the sexes.
So, to tie this back to differences in loyalty, my understanding is that while sex biases in demonstrated behavior produce an overlapping distribution between them in the population, as a general rule: Women are only devoted in time, and rarely if ever loyal over time. (Which you have addressed indirectly in mutliple other videos).
That’s another way of saying that, as our good friend Jon Haidt has tried to popularize, the feminine (left) intuition specializes in harm/care and the masculine (right) intuition generalizes prioritizing all moral intuitions equally. And while the good doctor states this harm/care also favors Fairness, this fails disambiguation further into fairness by equality and reciprocity by proportionality.
And every other moral ambition requires acculmulating both responsibilty and risk for having taken on that responsibility.
So, sex diferences in valuation are always reducible to divisions of responsibilty in time and at scale.
Hope this wasn’t a waste of your time.
Not really wanting to accomplish anything other than to plant a seed.
