A friend of mine, who I feel a heartfelt man-love and respect, said recently that I am more intolerant of normals than I am of people on the margins. And its true. But it’s because all the ‘interesting’ stuff happens on the margins. If you are a social scientist, a philosopher of man, a curious soul, and an aesthete, then normals are the people you want to work with and politic with, but outliers are the people you want to learn from. They explore the margins.

And that’s where we find innovation.

The very competent men I know – and many of them – never refer to romantic pasts, childhood, or childhood symbols, they merely focus on existential presents in pursuit of possible futures. This is quite different from the idealism and longing for past myths. I don’t like knowing this. But what it tells me is that we have infantalized our males.

–Literary Philosophers and Masculine and Feminine Biases–

Women love Foucault and left philosophers.

Literary information is richer in information and context, and men tend to need just the facts and are frustrated by all that context that they must ‘filter out’.

The french language is very feminine and loaded so it teaches men to express in it. Just as german is loaded with duty, and english loaded with truth (precision).

I read and have always read science, history, encyclopedias. I have read the classics only because it seemed prudent, but devoured hard science fiction.

The reason germans cannot write philosophy despite constant efforts is that their language is loaded with sentiments.

English is not. Which is why americans use strange verbalisms to convey emotional content, and why brits rely upon shaming, humor, wit and analogy to carry emotion for them.

    Germanic languages are martial.

    And marital epistemology is ‘scientific’.

Actually I want to run with that idea a bit… government as an extension of the marriage market…

MORE ON MALE AND FEMALE DISTRIBUTIONS: DIVISION OF LABOR

Just as there are bata males there are alpha women. When I use the terms men/male/males women/female/females, I refer to the difference in distributions. Attractive married women vote red, and single, unattractive and unmarried women vote left. Thats the data.

And here is another example of ‘women’s logic’: men will intuit that ‘by and large this is true’ women will find the exceptional case and say ‘that isn’t universally true’. But ‘by and large’ does not mean that it is universally true, and an outlier does not determine a general case. But you will find in almost every case some women in the group saying such a profoundly stupid thing.

Why? Because they evolved to think about children being left behind because they are betas, or women being left behind because they are pregnant, or groups being left behind because they are too young or weak to travel – and that is against their strategy.

    EVOLUTIONARY BIOLOGY

When you want to understand human beings, then you look to evolutionary biology. Our minds act on behalf of our genes without any greater knowledge of why or how than we have knowledge of how to move our arms and legs – we just do. Our words justify the intuitions of our minds. Our reason evolved to negotiate cooperation on behalf of our genes. Our genetic differences divide us in to an intertemporal distribution of perception, cognition, knowledge labor and advocacy, and voluntary cooperation is the equals=sign that assists us in finding an average of everyone’s interests.

NEGOTIATION IN A PERCEPTUAL DIVISION OF LABOR

Words are mostly nonsense even when we don’t ourselves know they are nonsense. That is why truth matters so significantly. Unlike Kant, I do not claim we cannot know the world. I claim that we must cleans error from our knowledge so we know the difference between what our genes evolved to specialize in seeing, and the entire picture we can see without those specializations.

    PROFOUND INNOVATION

You may not realize in reading this that it is a profound innovation in philosophical thought, but it is and it will change your life if you grasp it.

  • FUNCTION OF PROFILES IS TO TEACH YOU ABOUT OTHERS, MORE SO THAN YOURSELF. Strang

http://www.vox.com/2014/7/15/5881947/myers-briggs-personality-test-meaningless?utm_campaign=vox&utm_content=article%3Afixed&utm_medium=social&utm_source=facebookTHE FUNCTION OF PROFILES IS TO TEACH YOU ABOUT OTHERS, MORE SO THAN YOURSELF.

Strangely enough, the article is an exercise in criticism using pseudoscience which is kind of humorous.

    The fact is this:

    (a) MBT Is not a diagnostic tool, it is an tool for categorizing methods of interpersonal communication and collaboration. It is a tool of interpersonal understanding. It assists you in communicating with others in a common language. And it is entirely POSITIVE in construction (not clinical and critical.) People with similar behavior definitely fall into these categories and we have a LOT OF DATA showing so. We can map this data to career paths and show distributions. The problem with this test is that it is not 600 questions with lie detectors. So variations in marginal scores are large. The 16 types (boxes) are ideal types. but many people sit near the lines, rather than the center of the boxes. this is fine. People come to understand it.

    (b) Yes, big 5 is better – for a totalitarian system of thought – much like freudianism it’s for diagnosing deviations from a mean – this is a tyrannical tool of socialists and feminists for applying critique to western values. The big 5 is a DIAGNOSTIC tool used by psychologists and it’s a frame of reference for them. But then, we also understand that Rorschach tests are pseudoscientific and have no empirical basis but something like 80% of psychologists have been taught to use them.

    (c) Yes, Propertarianism is probably much better than the big 5, as a division of perception, cognition, judgement, knowledge labor and advocacy.

    (d) if you take it a number of times, you will slowly determine how to categorize your behavior according to the categories.

    (e) sixteen categories is about the limit at which it is useful to group people for the average person to use in comparisons.

    (f) It is terribly useful in training people to understand the incentives of others.

    (g) the goal is to train people to think of others as having different incentives than you do. This is the problem. And that is the purpose of these ‘tests’.

For example, before I came up with propertarianism, I used this series instead:

    (a) dominance / submission

    (b) extroversion / introversion

    (c) patience / impulsivity

    (d) blame acceptance / blame avoidance (Which I still find very useful)

After propertarianism I just explain things as reproductive strategies in an attempt to acquire resources of which status and cooperative alliances are as important as material goods.

    WHY IT MATTERS

All that matters is that we train people to be other-focused. It actually doesn’t matter which framework you use.

The reason I defend MBT is because it is easy enough for non-specialists to use, and sufficiently EXPLANATORY that

    WHAT I PREFER

    1) IQ Test

    2) Haidt’s Moral Foundations Test

    3) Your parent’s social and economic class

    4) Your ethnic, religious, cultural, origins.

    5) Propertarian explanation of your incentives.

But those things require a lot of understanding to make use of.

    MEME NITS

r/K selection is right but fails to capture the conflict between male and female reproductive strategies.

Or how r reproduction and k aggression can be used against high k.

So while some of my peers like to rely on this model, it carries a hint of scientific legitimacy at the expense of causality necessary to create the connection between democracy, the voting pattern of women, feminism, socialism, gossip, rallying and shaming, and pseudoscience so attractive to women. ( horoscopes and crystals and chakra and spirituality ).

Women caused the death of the west. We let loose pandoras box.

We spent thousands of years developing property and law to suppress parasitism and dysgenic.

And democracy let women’s instincts out of the box of civilization we had used to contain them.

  • THE MEANING OF COMPLIMENTS I can think something is sentimentally, allegorically

    THE MEANING OF COMPLIMENTS

I can think something is sentimentally, allegorically, morally, or rationally moral, beautiful or heroic. Meaning that I agree with your sentiments.

I can admire your attempt at creating an argument – even if you fail.

But that is different from whether your justification is amoral, or whether you facts are questionable, or whether your judgements are biased, or whether you are engaging in wishful thinking, or whether you engage in verbalism, cunning or deceit, or whether you logic is faulty whether or your argument is necessary, or whether whether it is existentially possible, logically sound, parsimonious my stated and so forth.

Meaning I can agree with you sentiments. I can encourage your learning. I can support your attempts.

But I cannot claim that you have constructed a truth candidate.

And most often what people want is confirmation that their sentiments are classifiable as a truth.

The truth is rarely emotionally rewarding.

    It just is.

So that is why I am supportive of good people in their journey.

But it is also why I will often agree with your sentiments, values and objectives while at the same time faulting your arguments.

If anything, philosophy is reducible to the science of construction truthful statements in pursuit of truth, whether we like that truth ir not.

Conveniently, the secret of the west’s competitive advantage is our discovery and frequent use of the truth.

So when we share a moral bias against the liars and deceives who have destroyed our civilization, we are pursuing the reconstruction of a truthful civil society and the commons we can create from it.

So we agree on our feelings:,we desire truth.

But stating that feeling truthfully is almost impossible. And I might argue that before my work it was not possible.

But now it is. And it is quite simple: we never know the truth but we can clean our language of error bias wishful thinking and deceit with some effort.

And we can require it of others I public speech.

    And we can punish offenders.

And we can clean ourselves and others of falsehoods.

    Leaving only truth behind.

This is the greatest transformation of man since Darwin if not since the enlightenment.

    Welcome to the revolution.

A sentiment we can all share.

AMERICA HAS A MENTAL HEALTH PROBLEM EXACERBATED BY THE PREVALENCE OF MENTAL HEALTH DRUGS.

The revelation that Umpqua Community College shooter Chris Mercer used the screen name “lithium love,” along with other references to prescription medication, strongly suggests that the gunman was taking psychiatric drugs that have been linked to violent outbursts.

—“There are a number of indications that Harper-Mercer had mental health or behavioral issues. His screen name on some social media sites was “lithium love.” Lithium is used as a psychiatric medication.”—

Lithium is used to enhance the effect of SSRI drugs, a number of which, “have also been linked to increase risk for violent, even homicidal behavior,” reports Time.

On one of his Facebook posts, Mercer also made reference to a number of different prescription drugs he was taking.

“I have a pill bottle with like five types of pills mixed in. I don’t know which ones are the sleep aids, so I just took four of each,” wrote Mercer.

(DISCLAIMER: I have been taking mild prescription drugs for my obsessive aspie-thinking for thirty years, which dramatically reduces the challenge of changing contexts – and so I have some familiarity with the effects of these drugs even if I cannot really comprehend the desire to do violence. Or well, other than in the abstract political sense. 😉 )
