“WE’RE ONLY CUSTODIANS OF PRETTY GIRLS AND FERRARIS”

–“A pretty girl is like a Ferrari. An expensive impractical high- maintenance luxury item that’s a lot of fun if you can afford it.”–

Yeah. Though, as a serial tech CEO, who gave it all up, and retired young to work on Reform full time, I gotta tell you that in my heart of hearts I don’t miss much from that lifestyle other than a particular pretty woman and my Ferrari. You can keep all the status, responsibilty, influence and wealth – if you have just those two things and an apartment or condo with good social venues withing walking distance. 😉

Ferrari is driving an art form. You don’t so much own a Ferrari as serve as a temporary custodian of a work of art you can enjoy more so than most others.

I recall that most excellent of prank advertisements for Aston Martin, in which a very attractive woman without bottoms is in a kitchen making coffee with the tag line “You know you’re not the first, but do you really care? – Aston Martin Pre-Owned”

FWIW: I did a prank ad like this for Merrill Lynch investments back – I think it was the 80s? – in response to the tag line “Bullish on America”. Have you’ve ever noticed the map of the USA looks like a cow? I drew a bull enthusiastically ‘mounting’ the USA from the pacific coast side.

If you work in marketing and advertising you quickly discover that the creative departments – wether visual or editorial – come up with this nonsense on a regular basis and it’s surprising how little of it leaks.

Unfortunately, once in a while, one of those absurd ideas (Bud Light) sees light of day and creates a catastrophe.

It’s nothing to do with Ukrainian women – it’s just women being women regardless of country.

Therefore there is a difference of the problem OF women, includoing Ukrainian women, an the problem FOR Ukrainian women is that the Ukrainian men didn’t rise up (like most europeans) and ‘eliminate’ enough of their government’s corruption and oligarch’s predation at the end of a rope, that they could escape post-soviet poverty and follow their neighbors and cousins in Poland into western prosperity.

So that when they are insecure while seeking safety in a new country they are not following rational incentives to seek the support of local men, security of the local political system, and prosperity of the local economy – all of which are weak in post-soviet ukraine whose corruption has been funded by Russia in a hope to drive Ukraine east rather than west – which is absurd on every measure.

That said, they didn’t ‘take’ their wives to a safe place. Their wives fled to a safe place and the men weren’t allowed to leave – they must stay and fight for their country.

Add to this that Ukrainian women are the most desirable women in the world. Aside from the slavic morphology (body form) being symmetrical, gracile, with oval faces, horizontal shoulders, narrower hips, with long straight legs, they are also largely traditional, put family first, find virtue in femininity, and are not trying to ‘ be men’. They’re a man’s jackpot wife material if he provides and protects and makes her feel safe to “Be beautiful and to love”. (What the women say to me.)

I know many women who would not leave because they are patriotic, love their country and friends and family. I do know women who have left then moved back to ukraine – because they are mature. I do know women who will never move back – because they are younger. I also know men who have fled and returned, as well as men who have stayed and fled.

Though, if you want the best women, often, you are still better off with even more traditional women. Orthodox, East Asian, or secular ex-islam being what most men desire. In other words, women who direct efforts to family and relations and men who direct efforts to economy and polity. So it is MEN who limit WOMEN who limit WOMEN to focus on the family where their empathizing over systematizing is of most utility and for women to limit men to economy and polity where their systematizing is of most utilty to women and children.

People all make rational choices. It’s our job as a polity to provide rational incentives for people to work in the common interest because it is in their interest to do so. People (at least, women and marginal men) cannot over long periods work against their own interest for a common good they cannot observe or experience themselves.
