1) Human body is extremely resistant to weather and other environmental effects such as dust, dirt, mud, water, wind, electric storms, snow, and even temperature itself, and highly adaptable to physical constraints like position, orientation, leverage, and mobility.
2) Current (pre-calculated) AI is extremely slow in the performance of ad-hoc physical operations.
3) I would expect the trades, consisting of ad hoc problems in ad-hoc conditions in ad-hoc environments are relatively safe.
I can’t think of many white collar jobs that are safe. One I’ve worked on automating in the pas is accounting and that’s a huge industry. I wrote the first production legal AI that I know of and much law can be automated other than the subjective test of lying and motive. Very hard to eliminate doctors and nurses.
