it’s simply the discovery of institutions that continue natural selection vs those that only slowly accept it, vs reject it, vs revolt against it.
But yeah, you know, Homo Sapiens defeats Neanderthal and Steppe Defeats Agrarian Priesthoods.
Natural selection isn’t kind.

4) Taleb was lost in statistics (top down) instead of computations (bottom up) (positiva) and law (negativa). And you are stuck arguing with idiots over the digital structure of dna, the necessity of the bell curve, or hayek’s treatment of norms and knowledge as national capital.

@charlesmurray @chasrmartin @primalpoly 3. Babbage failed to systematize computation as greater is scope than mathematics. Darwin was deprived of answering the riddle of evolution. Mathematics, physics, philosophy and economics were re-platonized, and we had Hayek’s “Century of Mysticism” (pseudoscience).

We learn:
1) evolution requires a continuous increase in energy transformation.
2) we long ago nearly exhausted our bodies.
3) we recently exhausted the planet’s capacity
There is only one problem: Underclass reproduction.

Evolution tells a story of an organism’s increase in adaptability by direction of calories to cognition, first by running, second by cooperation, third by technical innovation, fourth by verbal innovation, and last by cognitive innovation.
It’s just physics. 😉
What do we learn?

Not that it isn’t obvious, but (a) intelligence = adaptation, (b) adaptation = evolution (c) faster evolution that produces higher capture of energy ‘wins’. (d) we are never free of the race with the red queen. https://twitter.com/DegenRolf/status/1368915274179764227

2. then for machines outside the body.
3. now we are producing energy for cognition outside of the body.
4. evolution requires innovation and adaptation and the only problem we face is population in relation to energy production.
POPULATIONS (OF UNFIT) NEED TO SHRINK

1. Almost everyone has the formula wrong. Evolution required more bodily energy, and we consumed nearly everything on the planet available. So we started cultivating our own energy. Then we started producing energy directly for use outside the body.

Funny, but computational irreducibility (the inability to provide a mathematical description for some phenomena), isn’t any different from the impossibility of introspection.
However, once you know the function (operations) you can describe all of human experience. https://twitter.com/curtdoolittle/status/1368345765907693574
