I would be sad if Schwab was a victim of this panic sequence of bank runs. Best customer service I’ve ever had with a bank.

I don’t know how we got from husbands and wives, who for all intents and purposes, hire each other to produce the discount of the division of the labor of maintaining a household, and if possible children, who may care for us a bit in our old age, and if possible, giving our life some meaning, some purpose, other than consumption and tax paying, into “I marry someone to entertain me.” Now, I know it started in the 1970s. But what a disaster this experiment has turned out to be. The logical consequence is a return to marriage for the very careful intergenerationally wealthy, serial marriage for the rest of the top and middle, and no marriage and single motherhood for the poor. Because that’s what the data sure looks like. There really is no reason for marriage once the state has given us the means to escape having children. Once women can displace men in the workforce. And where displaced men can do next to nothing and live well. It’s a recipe for many poor households. And pervasive alienation.

He can service the debt.
He doesn’t WANT to service the debt. 😉
He said charging was going to happen from the start.
It has. I pay it. I’m happy to pay it. I ask other content producers to pay it. If you don’t produce content don’t pay.

So you think what, that Twitter, which would have gone bankrupt by about two months from now, if Musk hadn’t bought it. And Must, who’s lost 20B doing it, on top of paying more taxes than anyone in history, just so that he can improve the honesty of public discourse, so that our democratic republic, that made his wealth possible by his giving us online payments, cheap space flight, and electric cars, can survive, … you’re saying he’s ‘milking’ those of us who WANT to pay in order to have legitimate identification on the platform. While giving you that DON”T want to pay a FREE RIDE is somehow?
Are you sure you’re making sense?

Because if you’re advertising you should pay.
You aren’t advertising, then don’t pay.

For now. 😉
It’s just another ‘incentive’ to pay for the checkmark.
And that’s what I want and what the platform needs.
The more we are dependent upon fees the less on adverstising the more truthful the platform can be.

You might want to consider studying the field.
One thing we learn in economics is that specialty in a discipline is non-transferrable, and produces a false confidencde effect.
My speciality used to be called epistemology or ‘truth’ but in fact, it’s the science of human lying. And you’re just lying and nothing else.
If you weren’t just lying you would look at the body of evidence and that IQ is the most accurate measure in behavioral sciences, whether in psychology, sociology, economics, politics, or group strategy.
