THE PESSIMISM OF ECONOMISTS EXPLAINED
The purpose of legal, financial, and economic advice, is to temper animal spirits by exposing risks so that those risks can be mitigated. By and large economists lawyers, financial professionals, and economists do not identify creative opportunities – only failures: poor laws, poor financial arrangments or utilizations, and unserved markets. So these three disciplines are empirical systesms that inform ‘creative’ invsetors, entrepreneurs, marketers, and managers on the avoidance of risks. It’s this equilibrium between the via positiva opportunists and the via negativa risk managers, that ‘calculates’ how organizations continue to survive. 😉

I’m largely out of the economic-prediction biz, and last week or so I said I hadn’t seen any signals that January would trigger a change, but it’s pretty obvious now that the big boys are organizing a managed decline esp in tech that is using indexes to mask the correction.

Russian invasion of urkaine or any other radical action, would very likely lead to short term political wins, but would result in the total collapse of russian economy, and the acceleration of the collapse of russia as a state. I don’t see how this aggression is helping them.

Yep. Bankers make wars possible. Fiat money makes wars possible. In other words, they lower the barrier to warfare. 🙁

Peter: china is using money as a political currency not an economic one. Europeans developed economic currency because of the many small states of europe and european ‘success’ at not producing a chinese central state. MMT attempts a political currency on econ terms.

This is a venue, along with issuing shares as coins, that the private sector can expoit witout fear of govt. And the state cant possibly competently do it.

Yes. Of course. Although the I’m still willing to bet on the coalescence of a single saving vehicle (btc) and that govts will create fedcoins, and fed-title-registries, eventually. In other words, I see the future of crypto as resulting in more power to the state. 🙁
