Well, Sophenhauer did on a daily basis much to his frustration becasue he considerd Hegel a ‘fraud’ and intellectually unworthy of the title philosopher.
I don’t think much of hegel, because I don’t think much of plato, and I don’t think anyone should think muchof either. 😉

Schopenhauer is the end result of the pessimistic project, kant the rational project, hegel the literary project, heidegger the linguistic project, and neitzche the resurrection of classical religion and morality.
German langauge is psychological, and they couldn’t ‘science’ it.

AFAIK the correct interpretation of german philosophy is that it is a catastrophically failed project,attempting the use of reason for the purposes they aspired to: an alternative to the alienation of anglo empiricism optimism, and it’s absence of aesthetics of duty and suffering
