(the middle east invented institutionalized lying. There are reasons for it. We call institutionalized lying mythicism in early form, and theology after it was influenced by the greeks. Read “Hermes and the cart of lies”.
We are victims or products of our first institution. The worst of the three primary institutions is organized religion. The best is natural law or what we call our common law of contract and tort.
The middle east is still a faceless society where corruption, bargaining, lying, are still heroic traits expectd on behalf of your family. Why didn’t they ever escape institutionalized lying? Because it’s the foundation of the civilization.
