@curtdoolittle no argument there, I’d only suggest that conflicts are not decidable in advance, but consequentially.

Great Post. Shared on FB. Thanks.

BTW: I might be able to help you with your argument a bit if you further adopt the use of incentives and further abandon psychologism – which is in itself a leftist authoritarian vehicle for shaming. Might be fun to chat sometime.

“worst 007 movie in 30 years”

First we get Daniel Craig in Casino Royale (good). Then we get the second Craig (bad) in a new-agey-plot. Then we get the bankruptcy problem at the studios (and miss a film or two). Then we get Skyfall (weak) with a villain who is neither believable, nor frightening, and a character conflict that isn’t believable, and we couldn’t care less about.

So basically we get the best actor since Connery, but we get a sequence of (shit) bad scripts to work from.

    Do you know why?

Supermen are cutouts for us, and and so are their ‘friends’. The only people who matter are the VILLIANS.

Supermen are templates with which we fight villains. If the villain isn’t frightening or cunning or believable then the superman trick doesn’t work.

But for some reason hollywood machine idiots can’t seem to grasp it. all the good characters don’t matter except as foils for the villain.

If the superman maintains humor in character, that’s fine. But the bad guys need to be in fact ‘bad’.
