Or the fact that the USA disarmed Ukraine, which had the world’s largest stockpile of nuclear weapons. Or the intentional arrangement between Russia and the ousted president to destroy the Ukrainian military so that Russia could take over the country. Or the fact THAT UKRAINE REPRESENTS EXACTLY THE SOCIETY THE MISES INSTITUTE SEEKS TO RECONSTRUCT.

Which shouldn’t be a surprise us because Mises was from Ukraine, not Austria, and Rothbard’s ancestors were from Russia and occupied Poland. Meaning that they were part of the Russian Empire.

We all assume that when the boys come back we’ll have another Maidan Revolution and this time it will be good and bloody.

We can only hope.

We can also hope that all pretense that Rotbhardian and Misesian anarchism is anything but an attempt to reconstruct the gangster despotism of Ukraine and Russia where both of them – and their ideologies – came from.

I live in Rothbardian society. There is no government here. Just oligarchs using the state apparatus to extract money from people imprisoned in a society under siege.

Which is exactly what Rothbardianism would produce.

These men were not heroes. Rothbard was no different from karl marx or leo strauss: conducting a war on aristocratic liberty in pursuit of libertine low trust poverty.
