You know, it’s not like we work closely together, but like the left, we play off one another using the same methodology and themes. You probably know Eli Harman and Bill Joslin but do you know Steve Pender? Or the many others?
The technique works for every human question. And yes it’s hard to think in operational prose, and hard to think in complete transactions just like it’s hard to think in equilibria. No harder than thinking in math or physics EXCEPT you cognitive biases, and habituated speech are harder to avoid in matters social, ethical, moral, and political. Which is precisely why we solved socials science LAST.
And why acquisitionism, testimonialism, and propertarianism are so profoundly important. They’re as important as empiricism in math, and subjective value, marginalism, and equilibria-disequalibria in economics. You may or may not know that what we are doing today is completing the sciences and merging them into one field of the epistemology of testimony. But that is what we are doing. And it’s as important to our intellectual development as the marginalist, darwinian, and empirical revolutions, and as important to the quality of mankind’s political life as the einsteinian, maxwellian, and chemical revolutions were to his material life.
But while we have resisted the intellectual and material revolutions we will resist the ethical, and political revolution even more so. Because it is the one in which we are each, genetically, most invested and biased.
