Pre-release thoughts:
Early reactions to test screenings are very good, critics get to see it today, and we’ll see the review embargo lifted in two days (the 14th). So we’ll know more shortly.
But I’m a little suspicious of GenZ Woke Losers in Space, when alien cannon and mythology consists of competent adults: truckers in space and soldiers in space.
It’s not bad enough we deal with so many GenZ losers in real life. 😉 Cinematography looks rocks solid as does sound and production quality. Obviously Ill pay to see it. But I have this sick feeling I’ll be rooting for the aliens… 😉

Admittedly, given that (a) I’m the target audience and (b) I use a Roger Ebert criteria for a film – but despite early negative anticipation, I enjoyed the movie for what it is – a hyper-condensed but reasonably faithful representation of the game universe and it’s characters.
I expected it to be horrible. And it wasn’t. So it was good. 😉
I can count one hand the video games I’ve played in the past 15 years, and Borderlands 1 and 2 are included.
So take into consideration that I enjoy both of the Doom movies, and I enjoyed this one – so it may not be your cup of tea. But with reasonable expectations you might enjoy it. ;). I did. 😉

I haven’t created a fully curated list of Stephen’s videos organized by topic – it’d take quite a bit of time.
But this is a pretty good survey of some of his wide ranging work.
As in all domains, theology/mythology, and philosophy, and empiricism, cover the spectrum from emotional, to rational, to testifiable means of the transfer of meaning.
I find stephen’s work fills the need for the philosophical and rational as much as my work fills the need for the empirical and operational.
The difference being only that I have the freedom to more directly address the conflicts of our age because my purpose is not just to inform but to outlaw those ‘differences’ that are crimes.
