Well, given that the entire history between Rome ad100 and the germanic restoration of western civilization via manorialism, the Hansa, literacy, and the ousting of Rome while the church imposed superstition upon people, kept them illiterate, and made 1/2 europe’s capital dead.

While the British and Scottish gave us the empirical revolution, it was the germans gave us the scientific revolution of the 1800’s that the rest of the world benefitted from postwar. They had the best universities, the best education, and the best system of government.(Still do)

Evidence? The evidence is that germans are the most truthful negotiators in the world. (yes really). The french are the most hostile. Until recently the Indians didn’t know how to speak the truth rather than the good. For chinese the truth is offensive and they avoid it.

It’s not like I can be wrong. I’m just observing the transfer of technology of argument from one group to another, and the use of that group to retain their group evolutionary (competitive) strategy. We can trace all technological advancement by the same means. And we do.

Not really similar at all to the Habsburgs or Mongols or byzantines for that matter. This subject is worth a case by case examination, but we are mirror image of Rome in every single dimension. History does repeat itself. Although what troubles me is the second version of abrahamism (marxism, feminism, postmodernism). We failed to defend against it this time too.
