@real_abusalem The reason is that china developed the authoritarian rule first because it was able to capture river valley productivity with small militaries and expand. The reason europe developed egalitarian contract rule (rule of law) first is that production was distributed w/o rivers.

@real_abusalem Well that’s not true and nepotism and corruption was endemic in china. The emperor’s wives are the humorous example. Eunichs are evidence of failure, and change of the government from empirical to ideal was a catastrophe. Democracy and Bureaucracy dont matter – rule of law does.
