IRELAND ANARCHIC?

a) until the first world war there were separate economic tables for ireland becasue it was so poor, that its only equal was subsaharan africa. in fact, like the eastern european jews, irish were considered intellectually and morally inferior.

b) Until the late 1800’s the irish practiced (as urban blacks do) serial marriage. Serial marriage is only possible when there is limited to no capital to transition between generations.

c) an island is exempt from the primary cost of territorial defense that leads to the formation of states: a military. A borderland is excempt from the priary cost of territorial administration.

d) for most of history, ireland functioned as the border territory of england. Just as ukreaine or riussia and poland and lithuania. Just as iceland from denmark. Just as the Colonies from England, and just as most of the anglo world under American protection.

SO YES YOU CAN LIVE IN A BORDERLAND WHERE THE COST OF RULE IS HIGHER THAN THE BENEFIT, BUT YOUR TERRITORIAL RESOURCES MIGHT HAVE FUTURE VALUE, OR CURRENT DEFENSIVE VALUE – BUT NOT AN ANARCHY.

In other words: Grow the fuck up.

SPORTS: BRAIN (ERROR), GLADIATOR(STRENGTH), POPULI (SIMPLE) GAMES

As a person who’s lived in 5 countries, I look at it like this: you have the “brain” games (baseball and cricket). Games you have to be taught how to score. It can’t be done intuitively. For instance, you can’t intuit the R H E in a baseball scoreline. Cricket is even harder. I’ve never done a study on it, but I think the only high-IQ country that doesn’t play either of these is Germany. (BTW, chess is not a sport. Period.) Next are what I’d call the “gladiator” games: games that demonstrate the ultimate manhood in whichever country you’re looking at: NFL, Rugby, Aussie Rules, Ice Hockey. Finally, you’ve got the “populi” games: Soccer/Futbol/Football and Basketball, in which any imbecile can figure it out after 2 minutes. Which is why it attracts the types of hooligans they do. Of course, there’s crossovers. But most people have a favourite and you can tell a bit about them by it, wherever you meet them in the world.
