I am not sure I have a useful opinion becasue I don’t really think it matters. I would instead suggest dissidents seek optimum earning conditions, and listen to hiring managers, and corporate culture.

That’s the general problem with all fields that need very high competency to provide ANY value. Where in most fields every bit of competency provides SOME value, in high competency fields, no value is provided until all value is provided.

Similar problem for uninvolved common stock holders, leveraged buyouts, hostile investors. In truth I’ve never had an investor that wasn’t as great a threat to the business as the money provided was useful. I’ve never seen a good board of directors that weren’t owners. etc.
