    (NLI Update)
    Working Session Videos
Brad and I publish our working session videos. When working with the larger team, we aren’t publishing all working sessions, because we are trying to include more people in them, and some of those people have different degrees of comfort being recorded in these sessions given the taboos we have to address in them. So it’s a trade-off. But IMO it’s much easier to have more people contributing even if most people spend most of the time doing something else and only contributing when they need to or I ask them for specific help.
So that’s why fewer of these videos are published.
    Cheers.

well, I don’t see it that way because I’ve been in the business of running software companies for decades, and the quality of code follows the economic and educational curves, though for different reasons.

    (NLI Staff Humor)
Is anyone else’s workplace this ridiculous?

    CurtD:
Question for the glossary: do we have to disambiguate s*x and all its categories and forms? Because I want to know who’s gonna work on disambiguating that definition?

    Martin Štěpán:
Are you implying there are 70 of them – or whatever the current number is?

    CurtD:
Well, yes. But, I was also thinking more in the sense of s*x, impulse s*x, entertainment s*x, hookup s*x, casual s*x, … kinky s*x, s*x for income, … through marital s*x, and the pretense of marital s*x even occurring.

    Martin Štěpán:
So, disambiguate s*x as in genetics, s*x as in gender, and s*x acts? And Acts? They’re all an act of s*x. Effects differ, but the act is the same.

    CurtD:
Has the fact that this is a rhetorical question bumped into your level of autism, or are you aware that I’m talking sh*t for entertainment value? 😉

    Martin Štěpán:
I love answering rhetorical questions. 🙂

    Brandon Hayes:
I also love when Martin answers rhetorical questions. 🙂

    Martin Štěpán:
Good. Now I can even claim I’m not doing it for purely selfish amusement – I’m doing it for Brandon. 🙂

  • The Spectrum of Criteria of Individual Fulfillment from the Possession of Works

The Spectrum of Criteria of Individual Fulfillment from the Possession of Works of Art and Craft
There are four dimensions of owning art relevant to this question: first is the experience of the beauty as decorating one’s environment; second is owning and apperciating the one-ness of the hand of man and his little insights and imperfections – love of the character of the artist; the third is possession of a scarcity that is a direct capture and personal association with an individual time, culture, civilization, and theme; fourth is the status with possessing that exclusivity as self validation of one’s achievements.

Myself, I do not need external validation, nor do I want responsibilty for the safeguard of a cultural relic. So if I can have an accurate copy of any piece of art that’s good enough for me. Though while architecture is reproducible, scuplture is reproducible, and prints are reproducible, pottery is reproducible, and plays are reproducible, it remains quite another thing to duplicate the complexity of a painting consisting of layers of semi-transparent color through which light passes and reflects, and the brushstrokes that compose them producing the texture of the painting at close observation. Though in that sense I’m sure our technology will get there, and I can finally have my Rothko in the living room. 😉

I do find pleasure like anyone else in owning little pieces of pottery that connect me with previous millennia tho, because it makes time and space ‘real’ and tangible.

We could involve you enough to understand our strategy and what we’re doing but it appears you are one of the ‘impatient’.
I’ve been at this a long time. Our organization’s been at it a few years. We are a little behind because of covid etc, but we’re on-plan so to speak.
If you want to feel good about taking action in the real world then you are asking to end up in a bad condition.
Going on the road, starting to build relationships, publishing the law, starting teaching the courses, assisting in legal activism, and if necessary organizing a mass event – those are all possible. But they are only possible from a position of legitimacy.

MEETING NOTES: Why I love working with this team.

–“Given these responsibilities of self determination and individual sovereignty (a) Some people do not have the ability, agency, competency for successful self determination (b) so it’s logical so many prefer serfdom, (c) it’s cruel not to offer it to them, (d) western civilization is organized to maximize individual responsibiity as a means of defense of the commons from free riding or privatization. (e) given the development of humans from infants to adults, and the window of each developmental stage, as the complexity of cooperation, the division of labor, and trade increase, the cost of investing training necessary for the production of agency of individuals increases. (f) and the convergence of that training with the laws of nature (the four sciences) produces the greaest possible human agency.  (n) therefore agency is a form of personal and common capital and any inhibition of the production of that ability, agency, competency, is a crime, to be outlawed – the result being a prohibition on falsehood and false promise and a constraint of political participation to those of demonstrated agency and competency.” — Brandon and Martin

–“The speed of change unleashed by the sequence of industrial revolutions overwhelmed our institutions of the production of ability, agency, responsibility creating opportunity for the invention, distribution and sale of non-agentic or anti-agentic incentives narratives and justifications: the industrialization of lying to compensate for uncertainty and alienation by the Cathedral complex of Academy, State, Media, and Entertainment.”– Moritiz

–“The more  abstract view is that we require not only due process in the resolution of disputes but due process in the production of the agency necessary to avoid them while cooperating at large scale” — Brandon

–“The state has the duty to make itself as necessary as possible in the production of self determination by self determined means – because human capital is the most important capital with the greatest influence on the present and future condition of man.”– Martin

I only get about 2M impressions on Twitter every 90 days. That’s far less than we had on Facebook – it’s disappointing – and far less than the millions of subscribers we had on YT before the ‘suppression’. Now, I don’t want to paywall my(our) content. And to participate in X/Twitter revenue share it requires a minimum of 15M. And to do that I’d have to talk about Art, Fashion, Culture, Relationships, and Sex. (Because I have and it worked).

    Important work isn’t popular. 😉
    Just is what it is.
    Don’t stress.
