(FB 1545085047 Timestamp) I am pretty sure you are better off spending four years working on a project of your own, and publishing a few papers or a book about it than you are spending time in university. This is effectively what a PhD asks you to do, except your (scientific or technical) project, papers, and book have to survive market criticism rather than department criticism. It is easy to get a good job or career with that kind of evidence. Or put another way, university is an adequate clerical training program for those people who CANT produce their own project. Entrepreneurship is for people who don’t even need to do the project, papers and book. Entrepreneurship, Self Education, Good Education (STEM+L), Sh-t Education (Everything else), Going right to work (money and on the job training). Going right to work in the military( Training, Adventure, then money).

(FB 1545151473 Timestamp) COURSES AT THE INSTITUTE MUST BE ACTION ORIENTED There is a difference between meaningful and actionable. We are trying to ensure that all the courses produce knowledge and skills that are actionable. That they are merely understandable, and meaningful is a measurement of the state of ignorance and lack of agency of the student. Instead, we are trying to produce agency and action as the source of meaning – not meaning given the current life experience and condition of the individual students. Until the Clinton’s destruction of the military, when you went into the military the first thing they did in boot camp was break your self monitoring and self image so that it could be rebuilt as a soldier by necessity and a warrior if at all possible. That is the purpose of the institute. Not to provide you comfort in your current state, but to provide you agency in that state that is your full potential. Western civilization specialized in the social, economic, political, and military production of AGENCY. And that is our purpose. Cheers.

(FB 1545484362 Timestamp) James is one of those guys you get into a negotiation with, and you just stop and say ‘damn you are good’. And you appreciate your opponent’s use of the art form. This is not uncommon between competitors. It actually makes the competition enjoyable – unless you’re the victim of that competitor because you can’t play the game at that level.

(FB 1545409496 Timestamp) WELL, GOT ANOTHER COURSE IN THE QUEUE Seems (crossed fingers) I’ve managed to recruit someone very good (who shall be unnamed until we are ready) to do the presentation work on the history and uniqueness of western civilization. This course will be a combination of Duchesne, Huntington, Fukuyama, my own work, and bits from a few others. And it will be emphatically elitist, eurocentric, and nationalistic.

(FB 1546102380 Timestamp) One bit of frequent advice is that if we grow to quickly the idiot factor will be impossible to control. I agree with this proposition, but it can be offset by changing what we talk about as we expand: early entrants are activists that need technical content. Ordinary people simply want to know what such a constitution would look like, how it would work, how governments would work, and how they would benefit from it. They do not need to understand the strict construction of law from first principles in algorithmic and operational language, or that we can test the truth of propositions by subjecting them to tests of due diligence in the dimensions available to human minds. They only need to know that some people can, and that if we do so, its as rigorous as mathematics. Ordinary people just need FEATURES AND BENEFITS. They do not need to understand the detailed process of engineering of those features and benefits.
