Joscha, (all);
1. The fact that the people are still advancing human falsehoods and behavioral, social, economic and political impossibilities using the vast array of methods of suggestion, manipulation, deception, fictionalisms, deceit, fraud, denial, projection, accusation, rolling accusation, undermining, reputation destruction and canceling, is due largely to our failure to educate the population into what is not only beneficial but humanly possible by means of incentives in the absence of coercion.
2. The fact that the population are ignorant of the behavioral sciences whether neurological, behavioral, economic, legal, or political is solvable. It’s profoundly more solvable than teaching them mathematics and the sciences that we have been for decades – and with limited success.
3. So, the freedom of truthful reciprocal speech is just another common sense skill that we can easily teach people If and only if we have the political will to do so.
It requires as little as a version of ‘schoolhouse rock’ and as much as a class each year in basic human skills such as hygiene, dress, manners, ethics, morals, basic banking, accounting, contract, and simple project management.
Participatory government is not possible in a polity saturated in false promises of freedom from laws of nature, by lies denying or refuting those laws of nature.
Physical science was easy to instill. It’s impersonal. Behavioral science is much harder – because it denies us many of our cherished falsehoods. And it generates demand for some institution that trains us in mindfulness given that supernatural religion is no longer viable for something approaching eighty percent of the population.
The greeks were right: stoicism is the optimum religion of mindfulness.
Cheers

(NLI UPDATE)
Martin and I restarted our work on the constitution today. I wore out after a few hours, but the work is good and as usual, Martin is a pleasure to work with.
Cheers

Most people are not worth the oxygen to even attempt to educate – even if it’s in their interest. ;(

(NOTES FROM CALL)
CYCLES THAT ARE INTERSECTING AND TOGETHER CAUSING LONG TERM CORRECTION RECESSION DEPRESSION
– Inflation … all that debt had to result in inflation.
– War Risk and Trade – long term
– Housing Shortage – Big Sort Consequence
– Collapse of production wages via offshoring (wage arbitrage)
– Overproduction of white collar (legal, finance, government)
– Generational issues – capital ending and workers decreasing
– Intersexual Market collapse and reproductive collapse.
– Nonsense – degree education and debt instead of IQ/Personality test etc. General collapse of education system including much of ‘higher ed’.
– Resulting collapse of minimum general knowledge in the population necessary for political participation.
– Repatriation of Industry – time and blue collar not white collar
– AI not anywhere close and still seeing low level labor cuts
– Millions of white collar post 1980 expansion will vaporize.
– End of low end web dev and demand for higher level ML and LLM (math)
– NVidia vs other chip makers
– All AI chip makers vs neuromorphic chips.
– Apple b/c of iPhone vulnerability
– Conversion back to military industrial complex
– Harris will throw policy that won’t pass, and it will accelerate internal conflict – and accelerate external confidence in aggressive expansion.

If it’s culturally and linguistically favorable for you maybe. But…. Even if you have foreign income:
– Political instability
– High Taxes
– Painfully unresponsive bureaucracy
– Free but even less responsive health care.
– Low Economic potential … well, it’s not good – it’s bad
– High cost of living in relation to economic potential.
However
– Climate, People, Culture, Outdoor Possibilities are great.

2024 NATURAL LAW INSTITUTE AUTUMN EVENT
Fredericksburg TX from Wed 10/2 to Sun 10/6.
The institute will be celebrating Octoberfest in Fredericksburg Texas. (Via airport code: SAT or AUS)
– Come and join the fellows for 5 days of celebration, networking, and explore the opportunities presented to us at this historic juncture.
– We structured this gathering as a convention, offering plenty of time for community building, and more opportunities for interaction with the fellows.
– As for the theme, we’re addressing the certainty of civil war, how it will be fought, how we are certain it will play out – and how we might avoid it.
– Because the public belief of the certainty of that crisis will provide the only sufficient incentive for reform – rather than tragedy.
