I have purchased a company in quebec and lived in ontario just south of ottawa for a long time. I understand. But the process of union would allow for constitutional reform that would ameliorate some of these differences. The strategic and economic value of unification for both populations is very difficult to argue with. Either way the USA is not going to let any country not the least canada continue the ‘free ride’. So the past will not be the future either way.

Um… have you ever experienced it? I’ve been in the american, uk, canadian, russian, and ukrainian health care systems. There is no comparison to the american. They found out I had cancer and I was in surgery in three days. They found out I had a necrotic liver infection and I was in surgery in three hours. Its hella-expensive, but it’s worth it. And the expense is due to administrative overhead that can easily be ‘cured’. The USA will eventually have medicare for all simply because it’s the best of both worlds: private health care and public funding so competition remains.

The union would allow for certain reforms as part of the package that would limit the ‘liberal’ abuses of the constitution. America is reversing some of our ‘debt’ expansion. That alone would prevent it. Our constitution is sovereign not congress, so if we put it in there, we areβ¦
