WHY MATHEMATICS IS ONE OF THE SCIENCES
Q:Curt –“But, but Math isn’t Science!”—

Technically speaking, mathematics falls into the category of formal sciences. The three are Formal (Logic), Physical, and Social(Behavioral). (look it up). In my work I add Evolutionary in order to disambiguate before(physical), during(Social), and after(Evolutionary) states. But that is a matter of epistemic utility, not necessity.

Your understanding of the definition of ‘science’ is probably a source of error.

The Criteria for a Science is:

    1. Systematic Inquiry: All sciences employ structured methods to investigate their subject matter, whether through formal proofs, empirical experiments, or statistical analysis.
    2. Evidence-Based: Conclusions are grounded in observable or verifiable evidence, whether that evidence is logical (formal), physical (empirical), or behavioral (social).
    3. Objectivity: Sciences aim for impartiality, minimizing bias through standardized methods, peer review, and replicability (where applicable).
    4. Testability/Falsifiability: Scientific claims are subject to testing or scrutiny, allowing for revision or refutation based on new evidence or reasoning.
    5. Generalizability: Sciences seek to identify patterns, laws, or principles that apply beyond specific cases, whether universal (physical), abstract (formal), or probabilistic (social).

Note that in my work I emphasize testifiability because all the other criteria are reducible to the dimensions necessary to produce testifiable testimony.

As such, science emerged in the west, because it emerged out of our law, and our law has been dependent upon testifiability since we were horse raiders on the Steppe.

Mastery of the subject matter, clarity of objectives, clearly nationalist intentions (america first), quality of exposition, comfort with transparency, absence of ideological or magical thinking, and frankly relatively quick on his feet.

And the whole “Have the cabinet report to the american people live thing” is a masterstroke of transparency and narrative control.

Don’t know if y’all saw Satya Nadella (Microsoft) explain that the existing software, platform, and SaaS stack is going to be replaced to sit on top of AI.
Now I’ve known this for almost twenty years. It’s just AI accelerated because of the LLM innovation, much faster than I’d anticipated.
That said, our product (Runcible) was designed from the beginning (2012) as a universal platform for organizational cooperation.
We are working on two technology initiatives at present: One is a formal logic compiler that will compensate for the imprecision of LLMs, and we’re also training multiple LLMs to test their ability to explain the precision the compiler produces.
This is possible because of my work on Volumes 2 through 4, but in particular volume 2, which contains the science of decidability that allows us to test the truth and reciprocity (ethics, morality) of statements.

Some hollywood studio contacted me back in the mid ’00s and asked me to write an AI that would at least shallowly respond as if it was God. It wasn’t possible to pass even a shallow turing test at that point. And I was too busy at the time anyway. But with today’s tech, and some hard work one could pull it off well enough to deceive the room temperature IQ crowd. Make it a prophet instead of god, then it’d be even easier. 🙁

My work benefits so much from at least ChatGPT, Grok, and Perplexity that I perceive any threat to the flexibility of AI as a threat to me and my work. But policing AI’s against taking advantage of even just the mouth-breathers is a non-trivial request.
