WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE? (meaning vs algorithm)
Between “Meaning” and “Algorithm”?
That’s one of those lao-tzu riddles that by pondering one can grasp a vast amount of wisdom about man and philosophy.
Meaning is childhood, and algorithms are childhood’s end.

But just because disregard for life is dangerous doesn’t mean you’re worthy of redistribution – or even the consumption of oxygen. You’re merely a moral hazard for the rest of us.
If you or your offspring can’t find a way to participate in production without externalizing your costs, then you aren’t a precious snowflake. You’re a moral hazard, and a drain on both humanity and the planet. And the source of the demand for a political class that exploits productive people to fund the dysgenic and unproductive.
You cannot deny this argument without in turn demonstrating your racial bias.
So control reproduction. A woman has no intrinsic right to bear a child, and a man no intrinsic right to spawn one.
That is the only way we get to equality. Equality in fact, not in lie.
And I agree: equality is a moral ambition.

Mises’ failure was to create the pseudoscientific argent instead of recognizing operationalism and intuitionism as more mature arguments.
In this sense, Samuelson is half right in practice but meaningless in theory. While Mises was half right in theory and meaningless in practice.
It’s actually a fascinating problem – which is why I work on it.
Mises intuited and Samuelson did not, that morality was non arbitrary and could not be divorced from economic theory.
None on the other 20th century thinkers could solve that problem either.
We needed another near century to do it.
The problem now is the uncomfortable task of reinserting morality into economics – And by that I mean quantitatively.
Because I am fairly certain it is possible.
