Across the last two decades ≈ 40% of CEOs were on the top 1% of cognitive ability. Even within CEOs, education/ability was associated with company gross revenue. Becoming and performing as CEO can be considered a difficult mental test battery.

Putin just killed the new world order for us. And as long as he does not attempt to expand his borders then I am all in.
The western attempt to spread democracy, human rights has failed.
We have spread consumer capitalism, Aristotelian thought (scientific thinking), medicine, technology, rule of law – technologies that are culturally independent.
But our attempt to remake the world in the neopuritan vision has been as catastrophic abroad as it has been at home.

Accuracy matters not just because convenience and tradition introduce errors, but because these errors are externalized to the rest of the population. Perhaps more importantly, as economists, we are more accountable for the externalities produced by our use of ‘terms of convenience’ than are thinkers in other fields. iv) Method of inquiry consisting of inputs ( allegory, parable, history, measurement) and methods ( free association, mysticism, reason, rationalism(justification), science(criticism).
v) Wants: Impossible Wants, Impossible Beliefs, Metaphysical Errors, and Erroneous Assumptions
vi) Lack of impulsivity: Discipline, and Time (great ideas are achieved by focused work over very long periods – often approaching a decade or more)
