As we have seen with previous attempts as well as the findings from neuralink, the motor cortex is the only region of the brain where signals are discrete enough to input and output from the brain. However, that does not mean that we cannot continue the long march of providing the brain with increasingly scale, time, and volume information reduced to analogy of experience that is testable by the existing brain, AND that the brain will adapt to that availability of information just as we have to language, writing, mathematics, movies, and digital information streams.
