Zeihan is correct.
France sought natalism (reproduction), autarky and nationalism (soft national socialism) and didn’t engage in the global order of free trade. Instead focusing on maintaining their colonies in Africa and the resources and profits extracted from them.
Germany did the opposite. So combine german population contraction with the end of world trade, and Germany is screwed and France – although losing its colonies to Russia at the moment – will be the strong force in Europe.
