I love the common people because, at least for the working, lower middle, and middle classes, they are largely more moral than those above and below them.
And the purpose of my work is to free them from predation by the credentialist talking classes that daily abuse them.
Unfortunately, every attempt I have made to form any relationship with the common folk has resulted in frustration and disappointment.
Frames of reference and therefore terms of decidability are too vast a chasm to cross.
No matter what you do you cannot help people who cannot make use of the help.
It’s even worse with the educated common folk who, overestimate their competency, especially its transferability between domains. At least the common folk know they don’t understand. The educated common folk assume they understand.
And worse still because the lack of commonality encouraged by education and culture and media with the false promise of ‘You’re Special’ creates mental instability that is exaggerated by increases in the class structure that isolate people from feedback.
One of the reasons I enjoyed living in eastern europe is the the relative absence of false self image. Americans are … increasingly lower intelligence, less educated, more ignorant, and less capable, responsible, competitive, and durable than their ancestors.
(Women did it by the way.)
