False dichotomy. Where could he have taken it if he hadn’t made the dumbest possible decision because he lives in an information vacuum, to invade a european country instead of one in the caucuses.

From the western perpective we (the collective state departments) presumed that Russia would eventually flully integrate into european defense, and that the USA could withdraw, and the balnce of power between western, central-eastern, and russian europe would solve the problem of resources and secure capital structures.

This would have ended the woke progress, becuase russian law need not tolerate it.
