That’s right. Because pigs are difficult the faster your move. They are optimum for woodlands and farms. For mobility, sheep are better than pigs, cows better than sheep, and horses better than cows.
Once you have oxen then you can have carts and cover vast distances. Once you have horses you can cover distances for raiding and warfare to boot.
I suppose we don’t think in those terms. But the mobility of the herd animals we domesticate determines our mobility.
