Scythians are 9-8th c BC. Interesting in that they were consumers of greek art (crafts) particularly gold. The prohibition against pork took until about 11th c BC (about 1000 bc) to distribute throughout the region. So the scythian emergence post-dates the taboo against pork consumption.
