—“My extensive knowledge of religion is the very thing that makes me an atheist.”—
I understand. And I also understand my work in natural law produces a complete and decidable morality without philosophical sophistry or theological excuse. And I understand that the entirety of the Age of Transformation during which the existing macro religions were developed was trying to solve a problem, that europeans had solved first and the rest later – though christianity did address the underclasses where the greco roman did not.
So I have the problem of producing law. As such it is somewhat difficult to impose atheism upon the 20% or so of the population not capable of suppression of neuroticism in its absence. Just as it is difficult to impose theology on the 80% who in this post-agrarian age, are not capable of such self delusions – no matter their psychological value.
So I must remain, at least in this matter, a pragmatist just as I must, despite my instincts remain a pragmatist in the differences between the sexes, classes, and races. 🙁
