I recognize young male instinctual responses as immature attempts at building self confidence by desperate attempts at dominance expression given their inability to achieve competitive success and resulting status and self image in real world pursuits. As such, assuming I am not tired or ill or both, when I detect a moral intuition but an immature reaction I feel enough paternalism to assist in the young man’s development. We are not equal. We must parent those with potential given the absence of leadership that they face in daily life. 😉
