I know this, but it doesn’t alter the fact that you can’t shame a Christian into responsibility when the entire purpose of Christianity is to insulate the individual from shame unsanctioned by the faith.
That is the purpose of abrahamic religion: to insulate us from signals and social pressures so that we are only sensitive to the demands of the faith.
It’s how religions create mindfulness, and suppress neuroticism, and therefore anxiety, so that we can continue to function in alienation, relative anonymity, and powerlessness.

Christianity is a feminine religion originally sold to women and slaves (a slave revolt), but that Europeans tried to ‘Germanize’ over time, with at least a thin veil of martial responsibility. A responsibility provided not by the church but by the aristocracy and their need for a militia, because the territory of Europe prohibited centralization of power. And by that prohibition, ensured European rates of evolutionary development, especially once Aristotle and the classics were restored after 1200, brought about the subsequent printing press, reformation, and scientific, thru industrial revolutions, and the west’s attempt to drag mankind out of ignorance superstition, poverty and disease.

It is the combination of heroic aryanism in our myths and legends and histories, and the feminine pacifism and mutual care of our religoin, that together produced a balance moderated by our traditional common concurrent law that is 5000 years old.
