While the country is possibly at 97 heading to 96, the younger generations and immigrants make up the majority of the decline, while the crash in education quality and crash in adversarialism and competitiveness by women in education combined with drop in core competencies, and the asymmetry in work force vacancies makes this all painfully obvious. There are enough of us left to fix it but we need the institutions to survive long enough for us to fix them – or we lose the levers to do so. And fixing them will be painful because of the credentialists, unless redistributed to the governments of the states, will fight every necessary change because they’re fighting for their perceived survival.
