There is a middle ground where, those of us trying to produce artificial intelligence have come to understand how the whole brain and mind operate to produce human experience. And oddly enough it turns out to be relatively simple.
And this frame takes its understanding from behavioral economics – or all behavior using incentives and markets to produce cognition in the individual’s mind, in the group, and in mankind.
That’s the useful means of understanding the brain. That said, psychologists are still quite far from that understanding and it will take a generation to reform. And sociologists will need to start over.
