Unfortunately, there is a negative correlation between credentials and competency outside of regurgitating whatever discipline’s dogma they propagate. In other words, multi-domain experience (physics, behavior, cog sci), is both difficult and expensive to accumulate, and rare.
As in anything, there are only one to three people in every field that hold a syntopic understanding of the field, and only a handful that are capable of syntopic understanding across fields.
