Again a play on words. Yes, the spectrum of monkeys to apes to hominids evolved as gene flow across all of the world they could reach. But Humans ( Homo sapiens sapiens) evolved from a branch of the hominids that nearly went extinct in Africa, and exited Africa during a crisis, with fully modern humans , then the full human toolkit (physical and social tech) as the new super predator spread across the world killing off every remaining previous generation except for some opportunistic reproduction given that humans specialize in adaptation itself, including sexual adaptation, by having sex with anything vaguely resembling a vagina. So apes and hominids may have developed like all gene flow, everywhere they could survive. But Homo sapiens evolved in the East African rift valley. Even if they may have migrated north when the wet regions of the south dried.
You might make the case that this branch didn’t really reach full potential until they reached the dry Persian gulf, then back propagated gene flow into Africa. But that would be stretching it.
You might make the case that before the Mediterranean flooded, that hominids lived there and in Europe, with a range from Europe to Africa and beyond, because until then Africa and Eurasia were connected. That doesn’t alter the fact that Africa was and is an evolutionary meat grinder because up and down climate variation causes north south migration and adaptation.
