Rule of law, natural law, democracy, republic, nation state, natural rights, human rights, the systematic ending of slavery.
Testimonial truth, reason, philosophical logic, stoicism as the first non false religion, secular humanism, empiricism, science, and now operationalism.
Money. The age of sail. The agrarian, commercial, financial, scientific and industrial, medical, and technological revolutions, and economics to measure them with.
Geometry, calculus, all of advanced mathematics, and all of computation and all of artificial intelligence.
And that’s just scratching the surface.
We do have a framework. It’s just sophisticated and analytic (heroism, sovereignty, reciprocity, resulting in adversarial markets in everything) rather than simplistic and synthetic (a monopoly). The Chinese came close but could never trust one another. The MENA still don’t, and never will.
