We will not die by the sword. If we die at all, it will be from drowning in the luxuries we have brought to mankind – a mankind that, like you, is wholly undeserving of them.

There are no more of you to conquer worth conquering, and those who we conquered or colonized were more costly than beneficial.

So, you exist by our mercy and kindness. We are quite capable of taking all you have and all you dream of, with but a wave of our hand. But we are kind, and loving, and even though you are unworthy, and jealous, shallow, and petty, we still work to make the world better for you – as do all parents for their children. And yes, you are but children.

This would be how we would speak to you if we were true to ourselves, rather than trying to raise you from childhood to maturity, with a tough love you do not appreciate.
