What’s An Advanced Country?
Institutionally you cant beat the USA or Germany. But Morally the usa is a sh–thole because of the left’s ninety year war on our institutions of cultural production. Why? morality=bearing responsibility for yourself and the commons.

When we speak of development, as in a developed country, we mean the rules based order of rule of law, economy, prosperity, but we do not take into account the decadence and folly possible under the resulting prosperity. 😉

I prefer life with family and friends devotion of russians and ukrainians; as well as business, personal opportunity, and free speech in the states; education, manners, and civil society in germany; high culture in the UK; french agricultural, consumer protection, and energy policy; and aesthetics and design in italy – with a nod to japan on exceptional civil society, craftsmanship as ritual and near-religion, and finally the fresh food food. The difference is that with economic opportunity you have the choice of each. And that comes from Development: ability to trust increasigly anonymous people.
