(I point out the origins of behavioral pseudoscience in the movements by Marx Boaz Freud Lysenko-Gould, Cantor-Bohr-Einstein, and Gramsci-Frankfurt neo-Marxist, and Lyotard, Baudrillard, Derrida Postmodern, and Steinem Friedan feminism, and Rez, Kelsen, Dwaorkin in legal sophistry. this note just reminds us of the relationships and motivations of Boaz. )

Franz Boas, the father of race denialism, writing to the USSR’s official news propaganda organization, the TASS Agency, in 1941:

“Our sympathies [regarding WW2] are entirely with the Soviets. Your conception of the equality of men regardless of race is a step forward in the history of mankind that we may well emulate.”

Boas wrote to the USSR in 1936 to praise Lysenko, who denied natural selection and attacked genetics as a “bourgeois pseudoscience.” Lysenko’s influence contributed to the Great Famine in Communist China.

Franz Boas was heavily influenced by his uncle Abraham Jacobi, a Communist revolutionary and a close personal friend of Marx and Engels. Boasian anthropology (“race is a social construct”), which dominates the West today, is quite literally a form of Marxism.
