There has been a ‘fashion’ since the world wars’ need for propaganda, exacerbated by dumbing down education to accommodate the inability of lesser folk to graduate high school, and now college otherwise. So no I don’t pander to the peasantry – at least in matters of substance.

@Pillgr @Navin_112234 English is an admixture of peasant german, political French, and intellectual Latin&Greek. Western civilization is trifunctional, with elites in verbal-religious, judicial-commercial,and military-political factions. As such English is a language that varies by classes and elites.
