Just for sake of argument:
Homoestasis(“i”) > Acquisition(Instinct) > Biases(Traits) > Experience(Habits) = Demonstrated Behavior.
I try to constrain myself to scientific (operational, causal) terms, and then explain the ‘philosophy’ of psychology as it has been taught to date.
