In other words it’s not good, or moral, or ethical, but it’s rational survival. This is the problem the right can’t overcome. which is why we need a crisis to change the cost structure so that it’s a rational choice to act.

@WorMartiN It’s an externalization. You’re right. It’s inconsistent, it privatizes the commons – if you’re aware that it’s privatizing the commons. If you come to the conclusion that nothing else can be done, because everyone is privatizing the commons, this results in a rational choice.
