@Graphic I don’t have ‘faith’. I have skepticism – the opposite. Why? I have agency. I don’t need opportunity to be, do, or bring about ‘good’ results. So I don’t have to sedate myself with a faith. That’s what the simple, weak, and incompetent need. So where the weak have faith the strong have will. We don’t need gods. We are gods – at least by comparison to the faithful. 😉

Only weak, stupid, cowardly people need anything other than the simple, testifiable, truth by tests of realism, naturalism, identity, internal consistency, operational possibility, external correspondence, rationality, reciprocity, parsimony, completeness, warrantability, and liability.

The universe must produce entropy, a small percent of recombinations resist entropy, producing symmetries at stable states. The first evolution of those symmetries produced subatomic states. The second evolution of those subatomic states produced the third simple elements and produced suns. The death of suns produced the fourth set of states, and the seeding of the universe with their metals. The fifth evolution required planets, producing molecules. The sixth evolution produced biomolecules. The seventh evolution produced mutatable life. The eighth evolution produced recombinant life. And we are the result of recombinant life. The consequences of billions of years of all but infinite trial and error. Man, or at least european man, in becoming gods he imagined, is just beginning his childhood.
